Make Hair Grow Faster - Long hair - It's magic!
How to Get Your Hair to Grow Long Fast
Long hair can be fun, but it seems like it takes forever to grow. Not to worry. Although no magic hair growth pill or technique has been discovered, there are several things you can do to help your hair along. Treat your hair gently, as once it gets damaged, the harm cannot be undone. Since hair reflects your overall health, adopt a nutritious diet to keep your hair growth cycle at full speed.
1 - Eat enough protein, and add fruits, vegetables and whole grains to your diet. Protein keeps your hair growth cycle from moving into a resting phase. Eat produce for vitamins and minerals important to hair health. These include vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and B vitamins biotin and inositol. The right nutrients promote healthy glands in the scalp, improve hair quality and help regulate hormones related to hair growth.
2 - Include in your diet foods that are rich in essential fatty acids, zinc and, if you are deficient, iron. All are vital for hair health. Omega-3 fatty acids are in salmon and flaxseed oil. Zinc is in beef, pork, chicken, bran, wheat germ and whole oatmeal. Iron-rich foods are eggs, meat, leafy greens, beets, dried beans and enriched cereals.
3 - Start with healthy hair. Remove split ends or damaged hair. Healthy hair needs less frequent trims. Thus, once you remove any unhealthy strands, your hair will get longer faster. Trim a half-inch every three or four months while you are growing your hair. This ensures that damage such as split ends does not move up your hair. Cut a half-inch each month, once you are maintaining a hair length.
4 - Get the heat and chemicals out. Stop using hot water when you wash your hair. Don't use or minimize the use of heated styling tools such as hair dryers, curling irons and flat irons that stress hair. Let your hair dry naturally, if possible. Avoid peroxide, perms, permanent hair colorings or other chemicals. Deep condition at least once a month. Avoid salt water and chlorine.
5 - Choose hairstyles and hair jewelry that will not stress your hair. Ensure your hairstyle does not put strain on individual hairs, such as hair pulled tight or tiny braids. Get rid of any hair jewelry with sharp edges. Quit using metal barrettes and rubber bands. Follow this rule of thumb: toss anything that takes hair with it when it is removed. Use soft hairbands and scrunchies instead.
6 - Handle your hair gently when it's wet and at its most delicate. Avoid vigorously toweling your hair dry, and don't use a brush on wet hair. Use a wide-tooth comb instead. When hair is dry, use a boar bristle brush or wood pin brush to distribute your hair's natural oils. Your natural oils work better than store-bought conditioners. Always work in small sections as you brush or comb your hair.
7 - Brush tangles from your hair before you shampoo. Apply shampoo to the roots only. If your hair is not too dirty, skip the shampoo and just condition it. Always work conditioner through the ends of your hair. If your hair is easily damaged, consider using a leave-in conditioner.
